Brick Township is a township in Ocean County New Jersey and it is approximately 70 miles south of New York City. The population is just over 73,000 residents making it the state's 13th largest municipality.
While the majority of Brick Township is located on the mainland Ocean Beaches I, II and III are situated on the Barnegat Peninsula, a long narrow barrier peninsula that separates Barnegat Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches have restrooms, showers, concessions and lockers. There are lifeguards, as well.
Brick offers many activities having both the ocean and Barnegat Bay available for fishing, boating, kayaking, and paddling. There are numerous restaurants on the barrier island but there is no boardwalk. Just take Exit 91 off of the Garden State Parkway for the southern part of town or exit 98 to go to the northern section.
